ELLA BOYLE is a New York based creative currently studying at Parsons School of Design to earn her BFA in photography. Ella specializes in using humor to convey her deep ideas. Often building sets and transforming her models, she uses photography as a tool for storytelling. Her mother often brought laughter into her life by decorating their house in silver sparkling crowns and rainbows of color. She even owned a life-size knight in shining armor to guard the living room. This experience has seeped it's way into Ella's work. She wants to decorate the world with her creations. Her art, regardless of medium, often includes ironic detachment with serious engagement. Whether she is talking about gender, technology, capitalism, objectification - you name it, there will often be pops of color and maybe even a big yellow rubber duck.
